Astrid Sylwan receives Swedish Tile Award

Astrid Sylwan was today awarded Stora Kakelpriset (Swedish Tile Award) for her public commisssion "Ramble and Roam" in the Umeå Travel Center. After struggling in the Lidköping tile factory to bring her colourful way of painting into the world of tiles, there is now even a tone of tile yellow named "Astrid yellow".

The award was handed out by Peder Alton, architecture critic at Dagens Nyheter. Congratulations, Astrid!
